  Meena kandasamy is an indain poet , fiction writer , translator and activist from Chennai , tamil nadu , india . She published two collections of poetry one is Touch and Ms Militancy from 2001- 2002 . Meena's parents both was university professor , she developed an early interest in poetry , she completed a Doctorate of philosophy in socio linguistics from Anna University , Chennai . She began writing poetry at age of 17 and began to translating  books , she always write the weakness and struggles of the Dalits in her poem . She writers Dalit literature in simple language .

 The pot sees just another noisy child........

  

One eyed , the short poem by Meena kandasamy  highlight various injustices of Dalit women . Meena stress the human attitude for others humans which is lack . 

We see the title one eyed it's means the person  or society  sees the things in one perspective  or in one angle which is allready society have .  The girl name Dhanam in this poem loss their one eyed because she was thirsty drink water from upper class pot , she belongs to Dalit in lower class , the upper class people not treated him like human being .  In this poem water , pot and glass didn't see her as Dalit they only see one noisy child who was thirsty and drink water , by this line we see that the nature can not see the differentiation of people  , nature give us things without seeing discrimination of  class system . In next  line the teacher sees the girl breaking the rules to drink the water from upper class people pots .

The girl was beating by teachers or people , the principal and school sees the potential embarrassment they didn't sees the humanity , the doctor only sees it is as medical emergency and of course the press get  headline of news paper who see only the girl loss their one eyed . The people who are educated  they also believe in cast they aren't seeing this girl thirstiness , she loss one of her eyed the price for a taste of that touchable water , the all the things created by human , the water not see the difference between us . The girl see the world by their one eyed but what she see ?  what  actually society have and the new things like equality , unity , emotions of others , humanity  may be it's will not develope . Humans created there's on rules  for living their  life .  This poem is satire on 'Humanity' and 'Education system' . It is my point of view about this poem .
